About the role

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of older persons and persons with a disability? selectability is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Regional Manager to lead the delivery of our new services in Aurukun. The Regional Manager is a full time position.  The role can be FIFO working a roster of 6 weeks onsite and 2 weeks offsite with meals, accommodation and travel costs covered by selectability, or if living locally, a 5 days on/2 days off roster can be accommodated. 

In this key leadership role, you will oversee the delivery of high-quality Aged Care and NDIS  services.  You will be responsible for managing a team of employees and resources efficiently to ensure the highest quality of care is delivered as well as being hands on in the day-to-day operations when needed.  You will be responsible and accountable for providing holistic care, meeting care needs and upholding a quality of service aligned with selectability’s Values. 

The Regional Manager will be accountable and responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards, including the Aged Care and NDIS Quality Standards, as well as managing financial viability.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • lead and manage a team of aged care workers and NDIS support workers to deliver exceptional services within selectability’s  values
  • hands-on management of the day-to-day operations
  • identify areas for growth and implementation of new services
  • ensure full compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards
  • foster a culture of continuous improvement and excellence in care
  • be the face of selectability in the Aurukun community
  • manage budgets and resources within funding limits to achieve operational goals.

About you

To be successful you must have: 

  • demonstrated leadership experience in the delivery of Aged Care services and have a good working knowledge of NDIS services. selectability is an experienced NDIS provider and we can provide NDIS training as needed
  • strong knowledge of legislative and operating requirements
  • ability to interpret and contribute to financial reports, demonstrated experience in budget implementation and monitoring
  • strong knowledge of operating requirements within the Aged Care industry
  • ability to conduct care and needs assessments
  • ability to interpret and understand policies and legislation
  • be able to work with culturally and linguistically diverse communities and individuals
  • have easy access to a major airport at either Cairns, Townsville or Brisbane

Role Requirements

  • travel to selectability sites will be required
  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing
  • a current AHPRA registration
  • a current nationally recognised First Aid & CPR certificate
  • a current yellow card exemption or NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or the ability or obtain prior to commencement)
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module "Quality, Safety & You" completion certificate.
  • a current minimum P1 "C" class Queensland drivers licence
  • current Flu vaccination- recommended
  • current Covid vaccination- recommended
  • a current minimum P1 "C" class Queensland drivers licence
