We provide and coordinate NDIS supports, offer clinical services and deliver government funded mental wellbeing, carer and youth support programs.

About the role 

Our bike shed facility is designed to help regional Queenslanders overcome loneliness and get more active. The bike shed provides an inclusive space for locals to connect, work on projects, join a group bike ride and improve their mental wellbeing.

Main duties

This is a varied role and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Managing the daily operations of the bike shed to meet the requirements of funding contracts 
  • Scheduling events to meet the purpose of the bike shed and to meet the needs of consumers
  • Participating in the intake process for new consumers to the bike shed
  • Overseeing the delivery of programs and services including the documentation of daily activity statistics and reporting in line with funding requirements
  • Working with other selectability services to support consumers as required 
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards
  • Managing the financial budget of the bike shed 
  • Working closely with the general manager and leadership team to improve knowledge of bike shed services and innovative ways of reaching people in need of mental wellbeing and suicide prevention services
  • Managing the WHS requirements 
  • Managing the bike safety requirements

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Experience managing a program 
  • Experience in community mental health (highly desirable) 
  • Experience working with bikes, bike maintenance and general safety 
  • First Aid and CPR certificates (or the ability to obtain)
  • A Positive Notice Working with Children (blue card) (or the ability to obtain prior to commencement)
  • A current yellow card exemption or an NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or the ability to obtain prior to commencement)
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module 'Quality, Safety & You' completion certificate (visit https://training.ndiscommission.gov.au to access this free module) at completion of the course, you will be provided with a certificate of completion.
  • A open "C" class Manual Queensland drivers’ licence
  • a currently registered, roadworthy, and fully comprehensive vehicle
