About the role

The Compliance Officer - Aged Care is a permanent fulltime position based in Townsville. The Compliance Officer will report to the General Manager - Aged Care to support the overall function of the quality of service and compliance with Aged Care service provision in accordance with Aged Care Quality Standards across the selectability footprint.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • contributing to the development, implementation and review of Aged Care related policies, procedures and associated schedules with a view to maintaining compliance with the Aged Care Quality Standards and support the organisation to become accredited as licensed Aged Care providers.
  • supporting the development, review and updating of internal documents ensuring they use consistent language, terminology and references
  • supporting the development and adherence to document control processes including maintenance of selectability’s Policy and Procedure register
  • supporting the development of initiatives to maintain a workplace of continuous improvement, using best practice principles and adhering to compliance requirements
  • analysing data, identifying trends and writing reports
  • supporting engagement across the footprint to embed a culture of compliance and quality management, best practice, innovation for continuous improvement
  • developing effective stakeholder relationships at all levels of the organisation, including relevant third parties

About you

To be considered for this rewarding role you will have: 

  • demonstrated experience in compliance in a healthcare setting
  • demonstrated experience in Aged Care compliance, audit, risk and quality frameworks (desirable)
  • demonstrated experience in Aged Care audit processes and accreditation (desirable)
  • understanding of NDIS, HSQF, National Mental Health, Child Safety (desirable)
  • experience writing policies and procedures and developing processes and systems to support quality improvement
  • strong written & verbal communication skills
  • a commitment to best practice
  • ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • ability to travel across our footprint from time to time, to remote locations
  • the ability to work flexible hours (some out of hour's work required)

Role requirements

  • a current minimum P1 "C" class Queensland drivers licence 
  • a currently registered, roadworthy, and fully comprehensive insured vehicle
  • a Positive Notice Working with Children (blue card) (or the ability to obtain)
  • NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or the ability to obtain)
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module 'Quality, Safety & You' completion certificate

This is a full-time position based in Townsville.
