About the role

An exciting opportunity awaits for Enrolled Nurses to join the team. selectability, a reputable aged care provider will soon be providing residential aged care services in the Lower Gulf of North Queensland from late August. These positions offer a chance to work in a supportive and caring environment, making a positive impact on the lives of the older persons.

Enrolled Nurses play a vital role in the lives of the older persons by providing quality, responsive and compassionate care that supports a trusted and long-term relationship with our older persons. Working closely with the Registered Nurses, Care Workers and the collaborative healthcare team, the Enrolled Nurse will provide person-centred care to support the older persons.

About you 

To be successful you must: 

  • flexible to work across a 24/7 roster
  • have a positive attitude 
  • possess clear and effective communication skills 
  • possess excellent clinical problem-solving skills
  • demonstrated understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standards
  • experience working in a team environment 
  • Ability to work independently and effectively manage time
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision, prioritise your own work
  • be able to follow policies and procedures at all times 
  • proficiency in use of technology including but not limited to phones, emails and internet
  • be able to work with culturally and linguistically diverse communities and individuals 

Role requirements

  • a medication Endorsed qualification in Enrolled Nursing
  • full APHRA registration to practice as an Enrolled Nurse in Australia
  • previous experience working in an Aged Care residential facility (highly desirable)
  • previous experience working in remote areas (highly desirable)
  • current Flu vaccination
  • current Covid vaccination- recommended
  • national criminal history police check (completed in the last 12 months)
  • a current minimum P1 "C" class Queensland drivers licence 
  • NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or the ability to obtain prior to commencement)
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module 'Quality, Safety & You' completion certificate
