About the role

selectability is seeking reliable and hardworking facility support workers to join our team at a motel and caravan park located in Normanton. This role has a strong focus on housekeeping and cleanliness, while also supporting general property maintenance, guest services, and operational tasks. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, self-motivated, and comfortable working in a small team environment.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • cleaning and maintaining guest rooms, shared amenities, and communal facilities to high standards
  • laundering and replenishing linens, towels, and housekeeping supplies, tracking inventory needs
  • performing deep cleaning and basic property maintenance tasks, reporting safety hazards or defects
  • assisting with groundskeeping duties, including garden upkeep, outdoor furniture, and recreational areas
  • supporting guest services and front‐desk operations with check-in/out, local information, and issue resolution
  • following health, safety, and compliance protocols to use chemicals safely

Role requirements

  • experience in motel or hotel housekeeping, general cleaning in a commercial setting or hospitality
  • experience working in remote and regional areas (desirable)
  • ability to work on weekends and public holidays
  • a current minimum P1 "C" class Queensland drivers licence (desirable)

About the offer

The facility support worker is a casual position based in Normanton at the Gulfland motel.
