selectability is a not-for-profit charity committed to improving mental wellbeing and contributing to suicide prevention across regional Queensland.  

We provide and coordinate NDIS supports, offer clinical services and deliver government funded mental wellbeing, carer and youth support programs. 

We are one of the largest providers of mental health services across our diverse footprint – extending from Cairns to Rockhampton and Palm Island to Mount Isa … and growing.

About the role

selectability has an exciting opportunity for a Life Coach to join our team. As a Life Coach you will assist members set meaningful goals to enable them to create a life on their terms; assisting to close the gap between where they are and where they want to be. The Clubhouse is a dynamic environment that supports a growing community of members living with mental illness.

The peer-supported environment allows members to build confidence, make friends, learn the skills needed to access education and employment opportunities. You will work with members to develop the weekly programs and assist in the day-to-day operations of the Clubhouse.

About you

You will bring to the role:

  • A commitment to selectability’s values

  • A professional approach
  • An ability to read and play music (highly desirable)

To be considered for this rewarding opportunity you will have:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or experience (highly desirable)
  • Experience in the mental health industry
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to reach an isolated audience
  • Experience working in a team environment
  • First Aid and CPR certificates (or the ability to obtain)
  • A current drivers' drivers licence (minimum P1)
  • A roadworthy, registered and comprehensively insured car
  • A Blue Card with a Yellow Card exemption or NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or the ability to obtain)
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module 'Quality, Safety & You' completion certificate (visit https://training.ndiscommission.gov.au to access this free module)

About the offer
