About the role

selectability is currently seeking a People & Culture Coordinator to work within the corporate team, reporting to the General Manager People & Culture. The position will be responsible for identifying areas of improvement, providing advice, and developing initiatives across all human resources functions, which supports the whole selectability footprint in successfully meeting our organisations strategic goals. This is a fulltime position, based in the Townsville corporate office.

The key responsibilities of the People and Culture Coordinator include, but are not limited to:

  • lead the analysis of HR data to deliver actionable insights that support accurate reporting and drive informed decision-making for continuous improvement
  • developing and updating of human resource related policies and procedures to comply with relevant legislation, including Fair Work Act, amendments and quality standards
  • providing advice on human resource matters, including industrial relations advice and award interpretation
  • developing and implementing human resource strategies to successfully meet the organisations strategic goals, using innovative and best practice methods
  • provide support on complex HR matters, including complaints and investigations as required
  • developing strong internal relationships across the organisation, acting as a trusted partner in providing timely human resources advice

About you

To be successful you must:

  • tertiary qualifications in human resources (highly desirable)
  • minimum 3 years’ experience in a human resource generalist or similar role
  • experience in human resource, including developing effective processes
  • sound understanding of the Fair Work Act and other relevant legislation
  • experience in community mental health, NDIS, child safety or aged care (highly regarded)
  • proficient in Microsoft suites of programs, including outlook, word, excel and teams and other databases
  • experience in having difficult conversations

Role requirements

  • a Child Safety & Personal History Screening check
  • a Positive Notice Working with Children (blue card) (ability to obtain) 
  • NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (ability to obtain) 
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module 'Quality, Safety & You'
