The opportunity

We’re looking for an experienced and values‑driven Regional Manager to lead our Cairns operations and help shape the future of community services across Far North Queensland.

In this senior leadership role, you’ll oversee a diverse portfolio including NDIS, Supported Independent Living, Support Coordination, Community Access, and Accommodation services, with planned expansion into Child Safety and Aged Care.

You’ll balance strong operational leadership with a people‑first mindset, empowering teams to deliver high‑quality, person‑centred supports while ensuring compliance, sustainability, and growth.

What you’ll be doing

  • Lead and oversee all service operations across the Cairns region
  • Champion quality, compliance, and safe service delivery across NDIS and related programs
  • Build, mentor, and inspire a high‑performing regional workforce
  • Manage financial performance, budgets, and operational sustainability
  • Strengthen relationships with community partners, government agencies, and health networks
  • Identify and drive growth opportunities and new service streams
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and accountability

About you

You’re a confident, compassionate leader who thrives in complex service environments and enjoys building capable teams.

You’ll bring:

  • Proven leadership experience in NDIS, Child Safety, Aged Care or community services
  • Strong operational, financial, and people management capability
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence engaging diverse stakeholders
  • A practical, analytical approach to problem‑solving and decision‑making
  • A genuine passion for person‑centred supports and community impact
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and remain calm under pressure

Essential requirements

To be successful, you’ll need:

  • Relevant qualifications in business, mental health, community services, child safety or aged care
  • Current QLD Driver Licence
  • Working with Children (Blue Card) and NDIS Worker Screening clearance
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module completion
  • Ability to work flexibly, including some after‑hours work and on‑call responsibilities
