Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Deliver high-quality training sessions to diverse groups, helping learners achieve their goals
  • Evaluate learner performance through practical and theoretical assessments
  • Provide constructive feedback and support to encourage continuous learning and development
  • Offer tutorial support to students by appointment via video conference or telephone
  • Present topics to students in weekly online masterclasses

About you

  • Highly developed person-centred communication skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, including presentation skills
  • A demonstrated high level of attention to detail with a consistent approach
  • A demonstrated ability to prioritise conflicting priorities as required
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision with the capacity to exercise initiative in the application of work processes and procedures and establish objectives and outcomes

Role requirements

To be considered for this rewarding role you will hold the following:

Mandatory:

  • TAE40122 - Certificate IV in Training and Assessment; OR 
  • TAE40116 - Certificate IV in Training and Assessment; OR 
  • TAE40110 - Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (plus either TAELLN411 or TAELLN401A, and either TAEASS502 or TAEASS502A or TAEASS502B)

Highly desirable:

  • CHC43315 Certificate IV in Mental Health
  • CHC40321 Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention
  • CHC43515 Certificate IV in Mental Health Peer Work
  • CHC53315 Diploma of Mental Health
  • CHC52025 Diploma of Community Services
  • CHC32015 Certificate III in Community Services
  • CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing & Disability)
  • Qualified to deliver Mental Health First Aid

Role requirements

  • A Positive Notice Working with Children (blue card) (or the ability to obtain)
  • NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or the ability to obtain)
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module "Quality, Safety & You" completion certificate (or the ability to obtain)
  • A current minimum P1 "C" class Queensland drivers licence

The Trainer & Assessor role is a casual position based in Townsville.
