About the role

selectability is seeking a passionate and dedicated Fulltime Mental Health Hub Coordinator to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating multiple programs, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to our community.

These programs have been designed to improve the mental wellbeing and contribute to the prevention of suicide of people in North Queensland. The Mental Health Hub Coordinator will work closely with the Regional Coordinator and General Manager to ensure the success of the programs.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Program Coordination: lead and coordinate mental health programs and activities within the hub. Promote program awareness to the public, boosting a culture where everyone is welcome and invited to attend

Consumer Support: ensure services offered under each program can be leveraged to offer consumers multiple pathways which support them being in control of their own wellbeing

Stakeholder Engagement: build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including to community organisations and healthcare providers

Quality and Reporting: ensure all services comply with relevant regulations and policies and maintain accurate records and reports.

Role Requirements

  • cert IV in Mental Health or relevant field and/ or experience working with people living with a mental illness. (highly desirable)
  • a Positive Notice Working with Children (blue card) (or the ability to obtain prior to commencing)
  • current nationally recognised first aid & CPR certificate
  • a current yellow card exemption or NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or the ability or obtain prior to commencement)
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module "Quality, Safety & You" completion certificate.
  • a current minimum P1 "C" class Queensland drivers licence
  • roadworthy vehicle with comprehensive insurance 
  • some occasional out of hours work may be required from time to time
  • some travel to selectability sites may be required from time to time

About the offer

This is a Fulltime position based in Mackay reporting to the Regional Coordinator
