About the role

selectability is currently seeking a Corporate Trainer to work closely with management and the corporate people & culture team to identify training needs, design training programs and deliver training sessions through various methods to our selectability workforce. This is a fulltime position based in Townsville, reporting to the people & culture manager.

The key responsibilities of the Corporate Trainer include, but are not limited to:

  • developing training modules in accordance with policy, procedure and best practice in community mental health, NDIS, Child Safety and Aged Care
  • delivering online and face to face training
  • delivering new employee induction and future training pathways
  • identifying training gaps across the organisation and propose opportunities for improvement
  • managing the Learning Management System library
  • project officer for the development of new training pathways, training pathways for employees under the child and family care program
  • facilitation of therapeutic crisis intervention training to our child and family care workforce (train the trainer training will be provided)
  • ensuring that employees are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively
  • reporting on employee training completion rates 

About you

To be successful you must:

  • understanding of NDIS, Child Safety and or Aged Care best practice
  • an engaging presenter who is passionate, interactive and a clear communicator, delivering online and face to face training
  • ability to develop training modules in accordance with best practice
  • experience in PageUp learning or other LMS systems (desirable)
  • excellent oral and written communication skills
  • excellent interpersonal skills; capacity to interact with staff at all levels
  • high level organisational, administrative and project management skills, including the ability to set priorities against competing priorities and meet deadlines
  • ability to work under minimal supervision

Role Requirements

  • a current minimum P1 "C" class Queensland driver’s licence  
  • first Aid and CPR certificates (ability to obtain) 
  • a Positive Notice Working with Children (blue card) (ability to obtain) 
  • NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (ability to obtain) 
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module 'Quality, Safety & You'
  • ability to travel to various selectability locations is required
