About the role

As a program coordinator, you will oversee the delivery of programs and services to support selectability service users. Services are delivered to improve mental wellbeing, recovery and individual outcomes.

The overarching purpose of this role is to lead multidisciplinary teams to ensure high quality services are delivered to meet service users’ individual recovery-oriented practice.  Your knowledge, skills and qualifications will be used to mentor and coach teams to tailor service delivery to each consumer’s unique goals and aspirations.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • provide leadership and workforce support to ensure staff have access to induction, ongoing professional development, supervision and performance planning
  • lead the delivery of high-quality services that reflect selectability’s values, mission and organisational objectives
  • lead the design and delivery of community-based programs that enhance social participation, recover and well-being
  • monitor program performance and make recommendations for continuous improvement
  • develop and maintain strong partnerships with funding bodies, community leaders, key stakeholders and community members
  • oversee financial and contract performance to ensure all operations are transparent and compliant
  • oversee and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and organisational policies

About you

To be considered for this rewarding role you will have:

  • excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, including presentation skills
  • highly developed analytical, problem solving, and numerical skills including the ability to compile, analyse data and prepare reports
  • a demonstrated high level of attention to detail with a consistent approach
  • a demonstrated ability to prioritise conflicting priorities as required
  • ability to work under minimal supervision with the capacity to exercise initiative in the application of work processes and procedures and establish objectives and outcomes
  • a proven ability to think critically and approach challenges with innovation

Role Requirements

  • relevant tertiary qualifications in mental health/social work
  • minimum 5 years’ experience in the mental health industry (highly desirable)
  • out of hours work may be required from time to time
  • regular travel to selectability sites and external locations is required in this role
  • current nationally recognised first aid and CPR certificates (or ability to obtain within the first month of employment)
  • a Positive Notice Working with Children (blue card) (or the ability to obtain prior to commencing)
  • a current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or the ability or obtain prior to commencement)
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module "Quality, Safety & You" completion certificate (or the ability or obtain prior to commencement)
  • a current minimum P1 "C" class Queensland drivers licence
  • roadworthy vehicle with comprehensive insurance

The program coordinator is a fulltime position based in Mount Isa.
